Sandra Rae Stoddard
Sandra (Sandy) Rae (Jenkins) Stoddard, 76, of Post Falls, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018, with her family at her side.
Sandy was born January 31, 1942 in Wardner, Idaho to Harry and Audrey (Carder) Jenkins. When Sandy was 6 months old her dad, mom and sister Donna moved from the Silver Valley to Seattle, Washington; where she resided until 1959.
Sandy then moved to Coeurd’Alene, Idaho with her first husband Jim and shortly thereafter had her eldest son Robert.
In 1964 Sandy married Kenneth (Kenny) Stoddard. They welcomed son Rock and daughter Lisa to the family before moving to Post Falls in 1972; where Sandy had resided ever since. Sandy and Kenny were married 47 years.
Sandy was a phenomenal homemaker who also worked part time to provide “extras” and enjoy family vacations and excursions. Sandy also enjoyed volunteering and gave several dedicated years to Hospice Thrift Store before giving 11 years to Real Life Ministries Thrift Store.
Sandy loved to shop at thrift stores with her mom, sister and family friends. It became a passion and she had a keen eye when it came to things of value. She also loved to spend her time crocheting baby blankets; giving to family and friends and donating to Kootenai Health Pediatric Unit. Sandy was an excellent cook, housekeeper and organizer; her house was meticulous. She enjoyed fishing, golfing and yardwork with her husband Kenny, children and friends. Sandy’s family meant everything to her. She also had a long time group of friends who she held dear to her heart.
Sandy was a kind hearted and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband Kenny and her parents Harry and Audrey Jenkins.
She is survived by her 3 children, Robert (Elaine) Edinger, of Post Falls, Idaho, Rock Stoddard, of Spring Hill, Florida and Lisa Stoddard of Post Falls, Idaho and sister Donna Jenkins (Ron) Stickney of Post Falls, Idaho. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday May 5th at 1pm at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane Street, Post Falls, Idaho 83854
English Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to Hospice House, 2290 W. Prairie Ave, Coeurd’Alene, Idaho 83815
