Scott Michael ‘Scottie’ Lee, 24

Scott Michael Lee, “Scottie,” was born Sept. 7, 1992, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and departed Feb. 14, 2017. He was the seventh of eight children born to Jim and Paula Lee.

Scottie called North Idaho home for all 24 years of his life. He was a member of the LDS Church and served for 3.5 months in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission before his leukemia returned. Scottie began hunting with his dad at age 5 and was an avid outdoorsman all of his life. He even filled his once-in-a-lifetime moose tag this past fall, shooting it from dad’s pickup truck.

Scott was a three-time Coeur d’Alene Bowman archery league champion and after winning the youth division was moved up to the men’s division at age 16 and twice won the men’s division. Scott was an Eagle Scout. He loved to hunt, bass fish, shoot long range rifles, archery when he was healthy, Snapchat, and send funny text messages to family and friends. He loved watching the “Office” reruns on Netflix. He had a witty sense of humor and was always helping other people find the humor in every situation. He was an inspiration to all those who knew him and even to many who never met him.

Scottie is survived by his parents, James and Paula Lee (Dalton Gardens, Idaho); Josh and Chiu-Yi (Murray, Utah), Luke and Janna (Ponderay, Idaho), Benji (Springville, Utah), Sarah and Dan Ross (Spokane Valley, Wash.), Danny and Joscelyn (Lehi, Utah), Sadie and Reece Hopkins (Greeley, Colo.), Sam (Provo, Utah); seven nephews, four nieces and two more grand babies expected in June 2017. Scottie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Fay Lee, and Lester Paul Blackburn.
