Our beloved son, brother and friend, Stephen, left this world to be with his dad in heaven on March 14, 2017.
He was born in Post Falls, Idaho, on Aug. 4, 1989, to Kelly and Sharon Porter, and was raised there with his sister, Amanda.
Stephen was kind, loving, gentle and caring. He had a tender heart and was a gentle soul. Stephen loved life, his family, music, art, being creative and his love, Tina. He enjoyed building computers and gaming, and he made friends wherever he went. He touched the hearts of more people than he knew, and he will be missed forever by all of those who knew him. His laughter was contagious, but sadly he suffered from a deep depression that he kept hidden. When he was laughing on the outside, he was in pain on the inside. He is in pain no more as he now sits wrapped in the arms of our Lord Jesus.
He is survived by his mom, Sharon; sister Amanda (Jonathan); love of his life, Tina; Uncle Bill (Laurie) Waller; Aunt Rochelle Owen; Aunt Sondra (Bill) Spicker; Uncle Jeff Sagers; and many other friends and family. He is preceded in death by his dad, Kelly; aunts Drenda Porter and Sheila Sagers; grandparents and many other beloved family members.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Stephen’s name to save.org for suicide awareness or to the Porter Family Memorial Fund at any Mountain West Bank location.
