Syble Gough

Syble A. Gough, long time resident of CDA, Idaho area died Sunday March 19, 2017 at Hospice of North Idaho house. She was born in Bingham, Utah in 1927.

Everyone knew Syble as the feisty redhead with an animated personality. She was not a stranger to anyone and everyone loved her. She loved to collect Betty Boop, jewelry, and flashy clothes, She loved to dance and taught all her sons how to Lindy, Foxtrot, and to do the Charleston. She taught her daughters how to chase men. Syble was always young at heart and only claimed to be 39 when asked her age.

Syble had an unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In her later years Syble served as a missionary in California.

Syble Archibald Gough was predeceased by her loving husbands, Joseph M. Ivanac, George L. Oakes, James T. Powell, and Norman Gough. She was also predeceased by her son Timothy K Oakes and brother Timothy Archibald. She is survived by her sons Joseph M. Oakes, Eric B. Oakes, Chad L. Oakes, Glen A. Oakes, Russell W. Oakes and daughters Susan D. Oakes, Rebecca (Oakes) Zeckser. Syble was also blessed and survived by 37 grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday March 23, 2017, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N 4th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID.
