Heaven gained the most extraordinary vixen of an angel on Sept. 14, 2021. Theresa Schaller passed away comfortably with family at her side. She is at peace now with her husband, Warren, sister Catherine and son Michael, who had previously passed.
Theresa was stoic and brave and represents an “end of an era” of humble forthright human beings that had compassions and empathy always. In her early years she worked in advertising as the artist that hand painted the ads for Young and Rubicam. She met her husband in 1948 and settled in the Bronx and then moved their family of five to Long Island. Warren and Terry were very active in the Theatre community, Warren doing set design and Terry doing costume design in New York where they received numerous awards. Terry was a bookkeeper for Thompson Tires on Long Island and became office manager for many years.
In 1989 they moved to the Coeur d’Alene area where they could enjoy time with their son, Marc, and his wife, Joanne, and their two grandchildren, John and Jeannette. Eventually John and his wife, Beth, had two children, Molly and Charlie Terry’s great granddaughters.
Terry and Warren found the beauty of Spirit Lake and enjoyed their retirement years watching the nature and birds surrounding them at their Spirit Lake home.
Terry will also be missed by her granddaughter, Jeannette, who lives in LA.
Terry’s daughter, Lynnette, moved to Idaho to care for her parents and got to enjoy the experience of Terry’s wisdom, grace, intellect and artistic talents over the past 10 years.
A quiet celebration of life is being planned.
