Thomas Melvin Johnston

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Johnston, 86, of Post Falls, Idaho on December 13, 2024 due to complications from Alzheimers. Tom was an L.A. County Sheriff for 34 years, husband, father of 3, grandfather of 8, and great grandfather of 12 (as of now). He loved his golf and golf friends wherever he lived and was quite the social character. He and his family motor homed, camped, boated, skied, motorcycled together for many years. Religion was of great importance from childhood to him, his twin brother and 2 sisters. The twins served together as Acolytes at masses and weddings. A mass for him will be on January 4, 2025 at St. Pius Catholic Church at 11 am.
