Thomas Gary Lutz (65) of Husum, WA., passed away unexpectedly on Sept 13, 2016 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Tom was born Sept 16, 1950 in White Salmon, WA. to Ted and Grace (Anderson) Lutz.
Tom attended White Salmon schools. While attending Columbia High School He was on the debate team and was the FFA Showing Championship for Black Angus. Tom was also in the Delta Upsilon Fraternity while attending Washington State University.
On July 25, 1976 Tom married Karen W. Gross in White Salmon, WA. Tom was founder and owner of Rattlesnake Rigging, LLC, a wire rope and rigging business. He attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church where he took pride in being the parish council president and a 4th degree Knight of The Royal Knights of Columbus. Tom’s passion was steelhead and salmon fishing. He also enjoyed farming, gardening and serving his church and family.
Tom is survived by his Wife Karen Lutz, of Husum, WA., his son Kenny (Sarah) Lutz of Ridgefield, WA. and daughter Monique (Nathan) English of Coeur d'Alene, ID., 3 grandchildren: Elle (10), Whitney (7), and Hazelle (6mo), mother Grace Lutz, sister Carolyn (Gary) Anderson, and brothers Mike (Jan) Lutz and Trent (Leann) Lutz.
Tom is preceded in death by his father Theodore Lutz, father in-law Kenneth Gross and mother in-law Helen Gross.
Memorial services will be held Saturday November 12th, 2016 at 11:00 am at St Joseph’s Church in White Salmon with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome!
