Todd Hedge

On Aug. 24, 2018 we lost “our beloved Todd” — father, brother, grandfather, son and friend.

Todd was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Dec. 11, 1956, to Kay and Ed Hedge. He grew up in Coeur d’Alene where he attended Borah Elementary and Coeur d’Alene High School. He graduated from CDA High School in 1975, where he excelled in football and track.

After high school, he attended the University of Idaho and was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Todd was very proud that he paid his way through college with his strong work ethic. He graduated in 1979 from University of Idaho with a B.S. degree.

Upon graduation, Todd returned to Coeur d’Alene and joined Kootenai Electric in 1979, where he worked for 31 years until his retirement. During that time he also served his community in many ways. He was an active member in the Jaycees, where he enjoyed spending time, especially with his friends.

Todd married Linda Sutton in 1985 and they had two children; their son Jake was born 1986 and their daughter Kelli was born in 1989. Todd and Linda were later divorced.

Todd had a passion for helping others. He lived simply so others could enjoy a better life. As “Gramps” he took on the responsibility of raising his grandson, Mason, with an immense love and care. Todd was known for his infectious laugh and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Todd was dedicated to his faith, and in his always caring way, we know Todd will be our strong and guiding Angel.

Todd will be greatly missed by his children, Jake and Kelli; grandson, Mason; sister, Dawn Collins (Kurt Lundblad) and father, Ed (Joanie) Hedge, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Brockley, and his sister, Tracy Hedge.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Riverview Cemetery, located at 1001 Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A reception will follow at the home of Dawn and Kurt, 2823 E. Harrison Ave, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please donate to http://www.cdabackpackprogram.com
