Virginia Heid

Virginia Ruth Heid passed away on December 19th, after a long battle with health issues. She passed on to heaven surrounded by loved ones.

Virginia was born November 1st 1930, she was 86 years old. She was born in Rathdrum Idaho to Otto & Weslley Elizabeth(Costly) Meyer. She was raised on the Rathdrum Prairie, on the family farm. She attended and graduated high school at Rathdrum High.

Virginia was married for 52 years to Forrest Heid. When they were first married they resided in Coeur D Alene and there they had two sons. Forrest and Virginia and the two boys later moved to Otis Orchards and there a third son was born. They lived in Otis Orchards for many years.

Virginia was often busy. She loved cooking, canning and baking. She also sewed, crafted and played pinochle with her ladies group. Virginia was a devoted wife who would camp and hunt with her husband and children. Family was always important to her, as well as her friendships. Virginia helped with voting booths at election time and also helped arrange her high school reunions for many years.

After many years on the farm in Otis Orchards Forrest and Virginia downsized and moved to Post Falls where she lived until this last year when she moved into the Garden Plaza in Post Falls.

She was preceded by her Parents, Husband Forrest and Sister Irene. She is survived by her Brother Norman and his wife Doris, and her three sons, Larry, wife Mena, Ron and his wife Fran, Steve and his wife Julie. Virginia had 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous Cousins, and Nieces and Nephews.

A viewing will be held on December 30th from 10-12. At English Funeral Home on Spokane Street in Post Falls. A remembrance will be held at 12 noon and be followed by the interment at the Evergreen Cemetery with a reception held after at the English Funeral Home in Post Falls.
