Warren Anglin, III

Buzz’ Warren Clyde Anglin III, 48

On Feb. 15, 2017, our beautiful golden son lost his battle with cancer. He had been courageous and cheerful during the short struggle with his unbeatable foe, melanoma.

Buzz was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Nov. 3, 1968, to Warren and Joanne Anglin and joining sister Candyce. Buzz’s can-do spirit began on the second day of his life when he was casted for severe club feet. For the next nine years of his life when casts, braces and surgery were an everyday part of his life, he never felt sorry for himself and just lived his life as it came. Shriner’s Hospitals played a big part in his life and he donated back to them all throughout his life.

Buzz lived in Boulder Creek, Calif., for his first six years of his life surrounded by lots of family. Buzz’s family then moved to Post Falls in 1974, where they still live. The family created their own family of dear friends. Buzz attended Post Falls schools K-12. Buzz loved football. He played six years of football, loving every minute, while his parents cringed with every limp, he broke his hand instead! The Dallas Cowboys was his team of choice. He was a super fan, often writing to the team and players and receiving letters and memorabilia back, much to his delight.

After graduation Buzz went back to California for about two years. He found out why his parents left the state and came home to stay. Buzz worked at Interstate Plastics for a time then found his niche in life. Buzz worked heavy construction, laying pipe for sewers and water. He advanced to top man and spent the last three years working for Big Sky Construction. He had finally found a company to call home. During Buzz’s struggle with cancer, Big Sky was very kind and caring, supporting him, giving him needed time off and keeping his insurance active throughout his illness. Their kindness to Buzz will never be forgotten by his family.

Buzz married Sunshine Thyssen in 1997. The couple had three daughters together before the marriage ended. Buzz was a wonderful Dad. Leigh, Paighton and Breaydyn were the lights of his life and the reason that he worked so hard. He put his daughter time as a first priority in his life. Every day he talked to them and his weekends were spent with his daughters. He attended as many sporting events and recitals as he could get off work for. He was so proud of his daughters and his love for them showed no bounds.

Buzz loved the outdoors. He fished with all three daughters and daughter Leigh often went hunting with him. As he had started having trouble with hunting in the hilly country, he had qualified for a disabled hunting license and was disappointed when he was unable to use it this year. He and his girls walked Tubbs Hill frequently, enjoying their time together. They often road bikes around Post Falls.

Daughter Leigh was taken on a trip to England by Buzz’s parents several years ago. Then it was Paighton and Breaydyn’s turn to go. Buzz reluctantly agreed to go. To his surprise … he loved it. His maternal grandmother was a war bride from England. Buzz liked the “old” of England. Normally Buzz liked the quiet of Idaho, but the energy of London captivated him. While watching movies or TV and shots of England were shown always brought about “we were there shouts.”

Buzz found peace in his church teachings for the last three years. This peace filled him with such an inner comfort that he was able to endure the last 10 months of fighting this cancer.

Buzz was preceded in death by his cousin, Jimmy Anglin. Survivors include his parents, Warren and Joanne Anglin; sister Candyce and Terry Frank. Buzz is also survived by aunts, Lynn Markley, Dana Machado, Laurie and Dan Hennig, Cathy (Anglin) and Andy Burke, Alexis Davis and Uncle Jim, and Brenda Anglin. Buzz had nephew Bryan and Christin Anglin and great-niece and nephew Kaden and Ainsley; niece Amanda (Frank) and Michael Denney; nephew John Arts, Justin and Patty Muhlhauser; and nieces Kurryn Muhlhauser, Devyn Muhlhauser, Jordyn and Adam Grinstead; and former wife Sunshine Anglin.

Longtime friends Jeff, Rick and Heidi Peterson, Alan Bickford, Rob Christian, Mike Dawson, Todd Hedge and Tony Rohrenbach. Buzz often introduced June Peterson as his other mother. Honorary aunties, Marsha Weigley and Janice (and Bill) Overman. Buzz had more first and seconds than could be listed.

We will be having a celebration of life between 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at the Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. Third Ave. Buzz only allowed this celebration of his life, if we specified that bright colors be worn. Buzz wanted tears left at the door and share stories of Buzz. Buzz always had a ready smile for everyone and we want to share smiles at his celebration.
