William Frymire

William “Bill” Walter Frymire, born June 13, 1925, in Gull Lake, Saskatoon, Canada, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 24, 2016, at the Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene Idaho.

Bill’s memorial will be held in his honor at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho, followed by graveside services at the Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.

Bill is survived by wife, Christy Ann; sons Will (wife MarthaFae, son Timothy), Rick, Jim (wife Cecilia, children: Rachelle, William, Samatha); and daughters Kim Frymire and Cathy Capparelli (husband Don [children: Chrystal, Amber, Serenity, Jordan; grandchildren: Seneca, Ilij, Daryan, Jonathan, Josiah]).

Bill grew up in the Spokane Valley, where at the age of 18 volunteered (as a Canadian citizen) to be drafted into the U.S. armed services. He served in the U.S. Navy as a cook on the USS Fanshaw Bay CVE70, (the flagship for Admiral Sprague at the battle of Leyte Gulf (the largest World War II naval battle in history, Oct. 23–26, 1944).

Bill belonged to the electrical union (IBEW No. 73) which helped him get a job with Washington Water Power Co. at the Cabinet George Dam near Clark Fork, Idaho. He retired from WWP while at the Post Falls facility and resided in Post Falls.
