William Higgins
William (Bill) Higgins, [74], passed away after a long struggle with congestive heart failure late Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Coeur D Alene, ID.
He was born on September 14, 1942 in Little Orleans, MD to Paul and Ruth Higgins. In 1979, he married Regina Mullady and together they raised their daughter Jeanni Marie.
Bill joined the United States Air Force in 1961 where he worked in the communications field for 26 years and traveled extensively in Asia and Europe.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his free time recreating with friends in the areas of hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved listening to and singing along with country music; the calming melodies and heartfelt lyrics reflected the depth, sincerity and authenticity of his love to his family and friends. In his younger days, Bill was an avid racquetball player and won many state championships for his age group.
Bill is survived by his wife Regina and their daughter Jeanni and her husband Michael Blankenbaker; his sister Jeannine Burns of Cumberland, MD; his brothers Thomas Higgins of Harrisburg, PA and brother John R. Higgins of Lake Charles, LA.
Funeral services will be privately held.
