William McRory

William “Bill” was born March 14, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA., to William and Mary McRory and moved to Post Falls, Idaho, in 1979 from California. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John McRory of Newman Lake, WA.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked in the construction industry as a subcontractor. He had many interests including woodworking and fishing, but what gave him the most pleasure was spending time with his family. In younger years he enjoyed motorcycle racing in the California desert, backpacking, and bow hunting. He was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching football with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing.
Bill was called to rest December 28, 2017, after complications from a long battle with Cancer. He is survived by his four children, Stephanie Lines of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Christopher Richey of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Heather Johnson of Post Falls, ID; and Mia McRory of Post Falls; ID. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brothers Mac McRory, San Diego, CA; Jim McRory, Hayden, ID; Bob McRory, Lincoln, NE; David McRory, Perry, UT; and sisters Kathleen Bullington, Palm Desert, CA; Kris Murphy, Hayden, ID; and Liz Homes, Chattaroy, WA.
Bill was an incredible father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a kind and gentle soul that was taken too soon. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
