William Ransom

William Ernest Ransom, 98, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Jan. 5, 2017.

Ernie was born on Oct. 7, 1918, in Yellville, Ark. He graduated from Campbellville Bible School in Kentucky. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Ernie was preceded in death by Louanne Quick Ransom, his first wife; and his second wife, Ruby Lloyd Ransom and their son, Jonathan F. Ransom. He was also preceded by his parents, Roy and Ada Ransom; his brother and two sisters.

Ernie is survived by his first wife’s children: Pat, Barton, Barbara Woods, Carolyn Ellard, Tom Ransom and Linda Stephens; and his step-children, Doris Hogenmiller, Nancy Hunt, David Lloyd, Jake Lloyd and Sarah Lloyd. Also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Grace Bible Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
